Diary of a ferret OR FOUR....
This is the story of Index, my jill, and her littermate Compo (a hob) and her two working companions and that will be joining us shortly.
The ferrets will hopefully be hunting partners for Badger and myself on our exploits in the field.
I will keep this diary updated as the ferrets mature and let you know how their working life is progressing.
I can't wait to get them all home to Alacrity and for the fun to begin!
| The Hob that sired the litter that my youngest comes from. He belongs to a good friend of mine by the name of Oldblueeye! | |
| Another picture of the Hob, posing! | |
| This is the Jill, who is also owned by OBE. She has only had one season's work but has proved to be good at her job so far... | |
| Here she is at work... |

| This is the litter at a week old... | |
| At this point, I could only hope that the darker kit was a jill, as that was my preference :-) | |
| A pile of 2 week old kits! | |
